El Lagar, the original wine press dates back to about 1572. The house has been restored to the highest standards and retains all the original features of the press including the trading floor and well that held the grape pressings. It features a number of arches all from the Moorish period and the house is situated in the historic Arab area in the village of Sedella.
El Lagar has direct access off the street and is just off the main mountain road. Just 75 minutes from Málaga airport, 40 minutes to the coast and 2 hours from Granada.
El Lagar has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a study (or 3 bedroom) an internal patio and a terrace with views across the village to the mountains and the natural park. The living, dining, kitchen and downstairs shower room/utility make up the footprint of the original Lagar.
Currently a home the house could easily be converted to a museum or gallery!
